3rd December 2016 GUE Dive Day
December's trip will run to the Poor Knights In Northland NZ. To fill you in on the last trip, we were lucky enough to once again be on the Eastern Side of the Poor Knights diving at Barren Arch - this site had a great mix of serious technical profiles, sea caves and stunning sponges to accommodate everyone's needs on the trip - we saw some monster pack horse crays strolling around in the open and cruised back into Tutukaka Marina with a dolphin escort! Please contact and book directly with dive Tutukaka and state that you are booking under GUE Dive Day.
30th July 2016 GUE Improm Tune up
Hi Guys, Jumping in the lake again to work with current Fundies students. Anyone who wants to come along and practice drills is welcome. I will have the camera and as ever and be happy to give video feedback post session. Lets face it, We are not diving anywhere else this weekend what with the weather and all!
29th April 2016
Alongside other GUE divers from NZ I will be taking a month out to return to Mexico! Staying in Tulum and reconnecting with friends and the cave systems I know and love from my time living there.
I will be undertaking Survey training with Fred at Zero Gravity dive centre and hopefully contributing with MCEP's science project in May.
I cannot wait to be back in the ultimate cave divers playground. Everywhere I look at the moment I run line and put markers mentally. A truly awesome place with awesome people! I look forward to posting regularly from my time there. Watch this space!
7-8th April 2016
This will be the second session Jamie has organised. Mel and I will again be presenting material for assessment and hopefully gaining signatures to move forward with the internship process. This time looking at more in water work with field drills and academics from part two. Wish me luck!
2nd-3rd April 2016
Trimix live aboard with Oceanblue adventures. We will be spending a couple of nights out in the Poor Knights on Mazurker Looking to get some Tech 60 diving in as well as a sea cave or two!
The boat is exclusively GUE divers for this trip, all trimix qualified! It really shows how smoothly we can get teams in for profiles between 45-90m with the support of on board nitrox and helium should we need.
Kev cooks a mean breakfast as well! Top stuff :)
19th-20th March 2016
Returning to Tutukaka but not for Trimix! Jamie has organised a weekend to help Mel and I get to grips with Fundamentals academics! We will be covering module one of the new two part GUE syllabus and hopefully running some field drills.

GUE Tune up V4.0 6th March 2016
As part of my internship I have been running Tune up sessions in Auckland's lake Pupuke. These sessions have been designed to give GUE divers the chance to practice skills and drills with impartial video feedback post dive. This is the fourth session I will run and will be a good chance both to catch up and brush up on those techniques that may have been left dormant for a while!
Maybe you aim to get to Tech 1 level this year or maybe you want to convert that Rec pass into a Tech pass? Whatever your goal this is a good chance to see where your skills are at from an outside view point.
Interested in GUE? Come down! All are welcome at these sessions It doesn't matter who you have trained with or under which training organisation. The aim is just to be as good as we can at the activity we love most!
Meeting at 10am at the Pump house. See you there!
